Trevor Todd, Director

Trevor has been an active member of the CAC for over ten years serving the Association in different capacities including at the Board and committee level, and leading special projects to advance consumer protection. A graduate of Simon Fraser University, he currently works for the federal government working with stakeholders to promote economic development by fostering innovation and technology commercialization. Peggy Ireland, Director

In the early 1980s Peggy had the opportunity to meet then CAC President Sally Hall. She was impressed with Sally’s dedication to supporting consumer causes. Almost 20 years later, when she had a consumer issue of her own, the first place Peggy thought of was The Consumer’s Association of Canada. After attending her first meeting she was hooked. Ed Hendricks, Director

Ed has served on the CAC Board over six years. Born and educated in the United States, Mr. Hendricks spent 10 years flying with the US Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. He moved to Canada in 1966 and has had a successful career working in the automobile industry for over 40 years as an owner of an independent car and truck sales business, and working for a number of dealer operations in numerous positions including sales manager, general sales manager and general manager. Nick Murray, Director

Nick has been involved at a senior level with the CAC for over 30 years including serving as the National President from 1988-1990.  After a brief spell with the Montreal Canadiens organization, and various jobs in sales and management, Mr. Murray spent a distinguished 23-year municipal career with the City of Halifax/Halifax Regional Municipality. Bruce Cran, President and Director

Bruce was recently elected to his fourth term as national president and had previously served the Association in many capacities. Mr. Cran is a native of Australia and was educated at the Scott's College, Gatton Agricultural College, and the University of Queensland. He emigrated to Canada in 1962, bringing with him a sustained interest in consumer protection. Since retiring from a career in international trade in 1987, Mr. Cran has devoted himself to the consumer cause in Canada. Read More
